Mishal Husain is a journalist, broadcaster and author whose family memoir Broken Threads: My Family From Empire to Independence became a Sunday Times bestseller in hardback in 2024. She was a presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Today programme for 11 years before joining Bloomberg to launch a new global interview show.
Before Today she was an international news presenter for the BBC, reporting on location from the US to the Middle East, South Asia, Singapore and China. Her documentaries have included a series on Mahatma Gandhi and The Longest Reign, about Queen Elizabeth II.
Her first book was The Skills: How to Win at Work and in 2024 she won the Charles Wheeler Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Journalism.
